Made in Japan Kodachi.
Short Bokuto for the practice of Kata, available in Red Oak (Ichiigashi) and White Oak (Shirogashi). The type of the blade's spine can be selected between flat (Hiramine) or V-shape (Kenmine); the Tsuka bottom also changes when selecting different Mine type (Hiramine: flat bottom. Kenmine: rounded bottom).
* It uses a Sho (small) Bokuto Tsuba. However, if you choose Kenmine type (with chevroned blade spine), we suggest to purchase a Kenmine Tsuba instead of a standard Hiramine, for optimum fitting.
* For an extended lifespan: It's recommended to oil your wooden swords every now and then, depending of the weather conditions and humidity; once or two times per month with vegetal based oil. Also, previous the first use, we recommend to polish the wood with oiled sandpaper. And, as an extra maintenance step, wax can be applied after the oil has completely dried or just remove the excess of oil on the wood with a tissue or piece of cloth to then apply the wax.
* Depending of the available stock, you may receive a Bokuto from Aramaki or Matsuzaki (both are japanese workshops in Kyushu).
