Big and small: Renzoku-Waza

Each technique in Kendo can be trained in a big way, with wide movements, or in a small way, with short movements. The essential thing for Renzoku-Waza (consecutive techniques) is, regardless of the amplitude of the movement, that the strength does not decay, the Fumikomi or stomp is clear on both the Kote and the Men (or in every consecutive technique), and that the Datotsu or blow is executed with the proper place of our own Shinai (Monouchi and Hasuji) also called Datotsu-Bu, and on the corresponding target or hit area (Datotsu-Bui), in the correct part of the opponent's Bogu.

Always make a strong and long Kakegoe or shout, and enter with a correct Maai or distance before and during the attack, with good timing, coordinating the whole body to go from Kamae to the attack posture without raising the Kensaki or tip of the Shinai prematurely. And hitting with a good Tenouchi (linked to the way in which the Shinai is taken), Sae (the correct strength granted by a good Tenouchi) and Kime (definition that results from effectively executing all of the above).
