[Jissen-Yoroigata] T-1 ORIZASHI Kote

Tsubasa Budogu's NEW concept: Jissen-Yoroigata (Competitive-protective type)
Combining the excellent protection of our Tsubasa brand series Futon with a flexible Kotegashira for better range of movement and comfortable grip, we are launching a new Kote concept which mixes the main features of a Jissen-gata or competition focused type with a Yoroi-gata or protective-training type.

The T-1 model, ORIZASHI version, is made with synthetic leather and breathable cotton fabric for its easy-to-maintain and quick-dry properties, conserving a traditional appearance due to its deep indigo-blue (Aizome) color. The hit area or Futon of the Kote is made sturdy and thick, with bumpy wave-pattern diagonal stitch for improved protection. The Kotegashira (which includes the fist and wrist areas) is made light and flexible for a better grip sensation.  

T-1 ORIZASHI is offered as an affordable option compared to our made-in-Japan Tsubasa brand series, because is pre-manufactured (stock Bogu) perfect for those looking for a high-performance gear but with a tight budget.

* Product details: 9-3-3mm diagonal wave stitching. The overall reinforcements are Kon (navy) synthetic leather on Aizome (Indigo-blue dye) thick woven cotton fabric. The Tenouchi or Kote-palms are made with brown Ultrasuede.

* The T-1 ORIZASHI in a nutshell: Cost effective comfortable, flexible yet protective Kote, made with breathable woven cotton reinforced with synthetic materials.

* This is a multipurpose Kote model, but most recommended for competitive training.

* Maintenance: This model can be washed, however be aware of stains, we suggest to do it by hand on a bucket due to the indigo-dye leakage.

Standard maintenance procedures: After each use, just spray some water on the Futon (fabric area, not the leather) where sweat concentrated the most, and let the Futon dry before the next use. Also in case of deer leather Tenouchi (palms), stretch them after used so they don't dry having wrinkles on its surface, which could lead to holes. In case of dry weather, it is recommended to spray water droplets before using the gear, only on the futon area, and apply (and let dry before use) Mink Oil or Leather Cream on the palms one time per 2 weeks or when you feel it's necessary. (!) Do not expose the Bogu to direct sunlight for prolongated time. (!) If you wash your Bogu parts, avoid submerging it or directly watering the Menbuchi (the outer ring made of black lacquered leather, where the Mengane or metal cage is connected to the Futon). And remember, after being used (accumulating sweat), a very dry Bogu in dry weather will lose its fabric-flexibility, particularly those parts made with cotton or leather, becoming more prone to break apart.
